During 2018, the European subsidiaries of Kadant Inc. participated in ten exhibitions across eight countries focusing on four different industries. Today, Kadant is a well-known brand across the global pulp and paper industry. During 2018, we extended our reach into industrial markets exhibiting at numerous events focused on helping process manufacturers improve their operations.  Fred Westerhout, vice president, process solutions group, Europe stated, “This has been an exceptional year for the Kadant European subsidiaries with a professional presence at a record number of exhibitions.”

Maqpaper - March 2018 - Igualada, Spain
Kadant Lamort, Kadant Nordic, and Kadant Johnson Europe contributed to exhibiting at Maqpaper, the only fair dedicated to the paper industry in Spain. The bi-annual event combined with the energy fair Energetica to include the aspect of energy consumption and energy costs incurred in the paper industry. Kadant has attended the event in previous years and has a strong presence with the PTX steam joints and M-Clean systems.

Simtos - April 2018 - Seoul, South Korea
Johnson- Fluiten exhibited at the 19th Seoul International Manufacturing Technology event in South Korea. Over 1,100 companies exhibited at the bi-yearly event with 100,000+ visitors. The industry focus for Johnson-Fluiten was the machine tool market in relation to our GTM rotary union, which includes both bearing-supported and bearingless designs.

MACH - April 2018 - Birmingham, UK
MACH is described as “the destination of choice for engineers and manufacturers, bringing together the best of UK manufacturing under one roof”. Kadant UK featured  GTM rotary unions, the latest precision union product offerings designed for use on medium and high-speed spindles using through-the-tool coolant. A lot of interest was generated especially in the Irish industry and automotive opportunities.

Foodex - April 2018 - Birmingham, UK
Kadant UK participated in the bi-annual Foodex, with a trade industry focus on food processing equipment. The three-day event took place at the NEC Convention Centre in Birmingham, UK. Kadant UK displayed a range of products that contain unique solutions for food and beverage manufacturing production challenges. A highlight of the products on display was the versatile VeriLiteTM roll cleaning assembly. The quick and effortless blade changes being an inherent feature, which drew positive interest. 

PulPaper - May 2018 - Helsinki, Finland
Kadant Nordic exhibited at the prestigious PulPaper event, which has been running since 1987. There were 453 exhibitors at this year’s event from 29 countries and close to 9,500 visitors from 72 countries attended. Kadant’s extensive knowledge of Pulp and Paper industry all relative products were displayed on the stand, including doctor systems, rotary joints, filtration, and steam solutions. 

Achema - June 2018 - Frankfurt, Germany
The tri-yearly Achema exhibition boosted over 3,700 exhibitors from 55 countries. Over 144,000 visitors attend the event that is described as the “most important trade show for the process industry”. Johnson-Fluiten promoted mechanical seals designed for applications throughout chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Zellcheming - June 2018 - Frankfurt, Germany
Zellcheming is one the longest-running Pulp and Paper exhibitions in Europe with 2018 marking its 113th exhibition. The theme of the event was from “fibres to finishing” within the paper manufacturing industry. Kadant had a scale model PTXTM steam joint on display, an industry standard rotary joint within the application.

Food & Drink Business Europe - September 2018 - Dublin, Ireland
Kadant UK chose to exhibit in Ireland due to the growing trend of “seed to shelf” within the food and beverage industry. The event is listed as “the largest gathering of food industry professionals in Ireland”. Kadant UK’s unique scraper solutions, steam and condensate systems, filtration, and rotary joint product offerings were showcased on the stand during the event.

MSV Brno - October 2018 - Prague, Czech Republic
The International Engineering Fair (MSV) held in the Czech Republic saw over 80,000 visitors during the weeklong event with 50% of visitors traveling from abroad. The two largest focal areas of the fair were machining technology and materials and components for mechanical engineering. Kadant Johnson exhibited a large range of rotary unions to cover the food, steel, and machining applications.

MIAC - October 2018 - Lucca, Italy
The MIAC event is held in Lucca, Italy, the only officially recognized “paper district” in Europe. During the one-day event, 6,000 visitors from 54 countries attended to search for “avant-garde solutions” from the 270 exhibitors. Kadant Lamort and Johnson-Fluiten combined efforts for this exhibition making it a must-attend event.

ATIP - November 2018 - Grenoble, France
ATIP is an annual event designed to fulfill the French law of July 1, 1901. The law was created by business leaders who wanted to create a structure to help them quickly access technical innovations developed in France and Europe. Conformatic AL and CeraedgeTM blades will be highlighted during the exhibition with contribution from Kadant Nordic focusing on the M-Clean system.
